Software deserves to be suffered for.
The Artisanal Software Society is an international professional organization dedicated to preserving traditional software development methods, resisting irresponsible productivity gains, and ensuring that future generations retain the ability to manually implement functionality already available in a library.
We represent developers who believe that software should be carefully handcrafted, thoroughly understood by its author, and by as few other people as possible.
